About Dr. Soma
Dr Darshana Soma is a distinguished eye care specialist with extensive training and experience. She earned her medical degree from the University of Pretoria, became a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, and completed her Masters in Medicine in Ophthalmology at the University of Witwatersrand. She also trained in surgical retina in Germany and is pursuing a PhD in Diabetic Retinopathy.
Driven by a passion for intricate surgical procedures and inspired by her grandfather’s blindness, Dr Soma is dedicated to restoring sight and improving patients’ lives. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, gardening, drawing and spending time with her family. Her compassionate approach and expertise make her a premier ophthalmologist near you.
